The Welcome/New Member Committee will gather via Zoom for a meeting on Wednesday, September 29 at 7pm.  It has been awhile since we last gathered so we have much to discuss and plan.  If you are interested in helping to welcome and invite new members to Holy Spirit Verona, please email Father Jerry.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Wednesday, September 22

On Wednesday, September 22 at 1:30pm a small group will gather to meditate and knit. This is a spiritual practice that benefits the practitioner and those gifted with these sacred mantles.  This ministry is nondenominational and open to anyone who is seeking to step away from their daily stresses with an alternative form of meditation.  Please email Deacon Katherine for additional information.

Using Rite 1 on September 5 at Both Services

Sunday, September 5
Rite 1

We will be returning to the 1928 Prayer Book Eucharist -- what became Rite 1 in 1976 with the trial Book of Common Prayer -- at both services on Sunday, September 5.  Many congregations in The Episcopal Church host Rite 1 services during their early morning Sunday services, in fact years back Holy Spirit Verona did that also.  Be sure to have your prayer book ready to follow along with the responses.

***ONLINE*** Vestry Meeting

Monday, September 13

The Vestry typically meets on the second Monday of the month, and has been doing so via Zoom duing the pandemic.  We will gather online this month on Monday, September 13 at 7:30pm via Zoom to pray together, discuss the business of the church and enjoy each others' company.  An email will be sent with logon information.

NEW Ministry This Fall

Do you know the basics of knitting or crocheting or are willing to learn?  Have you wanted to deepen your relationship with God by serving others?  If this answer is yes, or just maybe, Holy Spirit is starting a Shawl Ministry this fall.  This is a spiritual practice that benefits the practitioner and those gifted with these sacred mantles.  This ministry is nondenominational and open to anyone who is seeking to step away from their daily stresses with an alternative form of meditation.  Please email Deacon Katherine for additional information.
