Psalm 30:2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
Our Healing Ministry is a team of members who offer laying on of hands and anointing with oil during Sunday 10am Eucharist. Attendees to a worship service can elect to offer prayers at our Healing Prayer station and/or be prayed for by a Healing Ministry team member. You may also request private healing prayer after the service.
In addition, in the back of the Sanctuary there is a Prayer Book. All are invited to write in this book with prayers of concern or thanksgiving. Prayers are then added to our Sunday Bulletin the following week and remain on the list for a period of time. To add a prayer to our Prayer List you may also email our Parish Administrator. Also, confidential prayer requests may be made directly to Fr. Jerry or a Healing Ministry Team Member.
Another aspect of our Healing Ministry is our Centering Prayer Group. The group is on hiatus at the moment; however had been meeting weekly for twenty minutes of Centering and then discussing a spirituality topic. If you are interested in Centering Prayer, please speak with Fr. Jerry. Centering Prayer may provide a method for you to find divine peace and to be present with the indwelling God. Centering Prayer is a form of Contemplative Prayer, opening our hearts and minds to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond any thoughts, words and feelings. It is a prayer in silence, practicing what the Psalmist teaches us: “Be still and know that I am God.
