Join us for a presentation of “Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention,” a program of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Held on Thursday, April 26, from 7 to 8 p.m., the presentation is open to community members age 15 or older who want to learn more about suicide prevention, and the presentation is free. Email Elizabeth at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot.
This is the same presentation that was given at Church of the Holy Spirit on Monday, March 12; if you missed it, plan to attend this one. The presentations are sponsored by AFSP New Jersey Chapter and funds raised at the 2017 Montclair-Verona Out of the Darkness Walk last October. “Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention” is a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide and how together we can help prevent it. Learn what suicide is, who it affects, what we know about it and what can be done to prevent it.
