The Angel of the Altar

Angel on the Altar Returns!

Our Sunday School students will once again receive a visit from The Angel on The Altar this Advent.  At the conclusion of classes, students will join Fr. Jerry in looking for the angel. Then an animated discussion takes place determining what the angel is trying to tell us about Advent, Christmas, Jesus or the Church in general.  She'll make her first appearance on Sunday, November 24 (First Sunday Before Advent). Soup for the Soul

"Soup For The Soul" Sold at Fair in The Square 2019

Holy Spirit Verona will once again sell "Soup for the Soul" at Verona's Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 7.  If you can make quarts of soup before then, please do so.  You can pick up containers in the Fellowship Hall.  Write down a list of the ingredients so that our office can make up labels.  The soup can be stored in our lower level freezer until the December 7 event.  Proceeds will go to our Operation Budget. We are grateful to Investors Bank Foundation for their generous grant to help fund our 4th Annual Celebration of Pets on Sunday, October 6, from 1-4pm. Sunday School Registration Begins

Meet Our Seminarian

Starting September of 2019, Holy Spirit Verona will host a Seminarian for a year or so.  Katherine Rollo will join Father Jerry in worship planning, pastoral visits and preaching during Sunday service.  Katherine and her husband John live here in Verona and we give them a huge Holy Spirit welcome!  For more information about Katherine's journey and biography, click here. Help Us Be Cool!

Holy Spirit Verona has launched a capital campaign to install air conditioning in our Main Sanctuary.  You can support us by sending in a check (indicate "Be Cool" in memo) or making e-giving payments here on our website.  We have several levels of "coolness" for you: Arctic Hare for up to $100, Snowy Owl for $100 - $499, Caribou for $500 - $999, Penguin for $1,000 - $2,499 or Polar Bear for $2,500+.  For full information on our "Be Cool" Campaign, click here. David P. Hegg II Lifetime Achievement Award

On Sunday, June 9 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Morristown, Mary Garland was honored with the David P. Hegg Lifetime Achievement Award. We thank Mary for her leadership of our Healing Ministry and for being the impetus behind the idea of Holy Spirit opening a Food Pantry.
