The Journey Forward

As we begin the journey forward and discuss returning to in-person worship and gatherings, our Bishop, the Right Rev. Carlye J. Hughes, offers some important thoughts: "In-person worship will require all of us, clergy and laity alike, to prioritize the needs of others over our own. It is not simply our own safety we watch over, is it the safety of all those we interact with at home, church, work, and school."  Click here for more info. Read more

Virch - Virtual Church Sunday Worship

At Holy Spirit Verona, we continue to "fast from public worship" in order to maintain physical distancing.  Everyone is invited to attend an 8am or 10am service on Sunday via a Zoom (online video) Conference.  For those without access to a computer or camera, a phone number is provided from which a person could listen to the service.  We hope that you will consider joining us virtually.  Click photo (or see below) for Login Information.  Our 10am worship service will also be live-streamed via our Facebook page. I Can Hear The Bells

On Easter Sunday at 10 am our bells will be rung along with other Churches across the state. The recommendation came from Janet Hoven, Mayor of Chester Borough. Morris County leaders suggest "we hope it will lift everyone's spirits and renew faith in humanity by remembering all the things we are still grateful for. During this time please keep in mind all of those who have been working tirelessly on the frontline to ensure our health, safety, and welfare." #mayitbeso Read more

Worship Update - Password Required

Zoom Technology has informed it's customers that effective tomorrow, April 5, all meetings will require a Password in order to sign on.  This is due to hackers who have been "dropping" in on groups unannounced and sharing inappropriate things or hate speech.  You will now need a weblink that has the Password embedded within it, OR the actual Password.  To obtain this password, email office@holyspiritverona.org or someone you know in the congregation.  Stay safe!
